Suggestions to support yourself when unwell:
  • rest, relaxation and sleep
  • keep warm (extra layers, blanket, hat, hot water bottle, hot drinks)
  • drink plenty of water and tisanes (thyme, ginger, hot lemon and honey) to avoid dehydration
  • have soup
  • gargle salt water to soothe a sore throat
  • lymphatic massage from ear to clavicle
  • decongesting massage on the face - small circles between shoulder places, inside the eyebrow on both sides, at each inner corner of the nose
  • gentle movement at the shoulder and the hip (to support the lymphatic system and boost healing)
  • stay optimistic
  • early nights until you feel better
  • keep trying to breathe out through your nose, mouth closed (in through your mouth is nose too blocked up) until your nose clears
