- rest, relaxation and sleep
- keep warm (extra layers, blanket, hat, hot water bottle, hot drinks)
- drink plenty of water and tisanes (thyme, ginger, hot lemon and honey) to avoid dehydration
- have soup
- gargle salt water to soothe a sore throat
- lymphatic massage from ear to clavicle
- decongesting massage on the face - small circles between shoulder places, inside the eyebrow on both sides, at each inner corner of the nose
- gentle movement at the shoulder and the hip (to support the lymphatic system and boost healing)
- stay optimistic
- early nights until you feel better
- keep trying to breathe out through your nose, mouth closed (in through your mouth is nose too blocked up) until your nose clears
